To us, rice is not just rice – it is a part of our family’s legacy.  We are 4 Sisters who grew up on our father’s Louisiana rice farm, a farm founded back in 1964. Today, we share our own story with the launch of our retail rice brand, 4Sisters Rice. With 4Sisters, we envisioned the need to sustainably bring organic and natural rice products to consumers nationwide, while also improving the environment. We brought this idea to life by working with local suppliers and family farmers who share our vision of growing select rice varieties that consistently cook and taste the best. With full traceability from farm to table, we grow, harvest, dry, mill, package and sell our US grown rice on the shelves as 4Sisters Rice.

“The story my life is persistence in the face of adversity. At some point in everyone’s career, it is easier to quit or tell yourself that it is better to take a backseat position. This is especially true for women; we have lots of outside pressures that hinder us from pushing forward. However, real entrepreneurs and industry changers do not have the luxury of taking a backseat when times get tough. I have found that resilience and sheer perseverance is highly respected by all and will carry you a long way.”

“Growing up, our father always referred to his work as the “family business” and how it was up to us to carry on. We always knew that his life’s work and daily struggles were not just a job, it was for the family. His hard work and devotion were to fulfill a lifelong journey for us to carry on for generations.”

“We wanted to all play a meaningful part in supporting our father’s legacy, and we wanted to have fun while doing it! With this in mind, it was natural to tailor our roles based off each of our own skill sets. This thought process made it easy for us to support 4Sisters Rice in each of our own ways.”

“As the oldest, I remember some of the hard times and struggles Dad faced and overcame throughout his career. He has poured his heart and soul into his work and made his mark on the rice industry and on us in the best way possible. Starting out, he may have been uncertain that 4 girls could hold their own in this industry, but I know he is very proud of the competent, strong women we have become.”
